Lately I’ve been feeling like I was getting the same kinds of pins over and over again. And I was right. Pinterest’s “Picked for You” feature uses your board and pins to find what they think are relevant for you. That’s all fine for some, but if you’ve already collected a good number of people you’re following on Pinterest, you don’t need a computer telling you what you want to see. You have already chosen who you want to follow!
Enough ranting. If you want to learn how to get rid of “picked for You” pins on Pinterest, it’s so easy. Go to your profile on Pinterest. Click your photo once and there will be a drop down menu. Click on settings.
No at the top of the page, click on the “bolt” icon. Next clock on “Home Feed”. At the top you will see a slider for “Picked for you”. It will be red. Slide it to the left to turn of this option and it will look gray like the screen below.

That’s it! Now you can just follow who you want to follow and not receive all the pins that Pinterest thinks you will want. Here is more information from Pinterest about opting out of specific pins or from the “Picked for you” option.
