Isaiah 26:3

Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You. NKJV
A clue is given here for staying in peace: We have to focus our minds on God and trust Him. Then we will have perfect peace.

And the hills be removed,
But My kindness shall not depart from you,
Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,”

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
This verse says, “Don’t let your heart be troubled.” When it’s the middle of the night and I feel concerned (my word for “worried”) about my kids or finances or the state of the world, it’s hard to see that I have a choice about peace. But the Bible is telling me that I do. I can choose fear and worry or I can choose God’s peace.
Philipians 4:6-7
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
I love how this verse tells us just how to get inner peace in troubled times. First, don’t be anxious but instead, be thankful and pray and let God know our requests–and then God’s peace that is so great that we can’t even understand it will guard our hearts and our minds through Jesus. We totally can have peace if we follow God’s way.
2 Thessalonians 3:16
Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.
Romans 5:1-2
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we also have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we celebrate in hope of the glory of God. NASB
Here is another Scripture telling us that peace of God comes through Jesus Christ when we have faith in Him.
Romans 15:13
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. NASB
Romans 8:6
For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace... NASB
We find peace when we get out minds off of ourselves and our selfish desires and focus on God, we will have life and peace.

Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. NASB
When we live in the Spirit, we will have peace. Peace is an outcome of living in God.
2 Corinthians 13:11
11 Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice, mend your ways, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. NASB

For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation… NKJV
Colossians 3:15
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. NKJV
This verse shows us that we have to allow the peace of God into our hearts. To do that, we need to be thankful and choose to trust Him, let go of worry and choose peace. It’s a choice. A decision we have to make. God’s peace is there for us to choose to take.

2 Thessalonians 3:16
Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all. NKJV
1 Corinthians 14:33a
For God is not the author of confusion but of peace… NKJV
If you’re feeling confused or in chaos, you can be sure that it hasn’t come from God. He is the author of peace, not confusion.
Hebrews 12:11
No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. NIV
When we are trained in Godly discipline, we will have peace.
2 John 1:3
Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. NASB
Jude 1:2
May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you. NASB
This is Jude’s greeting in a letter. What a cool greeting and prayer for ourselves and others.
John 16:33
These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world. NASB
Jesus is speaking to His disciples here. It’s good news that we can trust him and choose to take courage in our tribulations because he has already overcome evil. In the end, we win because He has already won.
